350 Faces of the New Congress
Series of scrolly, interactive, and static visualizations to explain in depth the composition of all members of the new Congress.
After the 2023 general election, RTVE wanted to go beyond the result itself and tell the audience who the 350 members of the new Congress actually were. The challenge was one of scale: too many profiles for a single visualization, so the piece was built as a series of scrollytelling sections, mixing large set-pieces with small, precise ones.
The pace at which the reader learns more and more detail about the new members of Congress through a mix of large and small visualizations.
I designed the structure and pacing of the whole project and created the main visualizations, coordinating a team of four to complete the rest of the graphics within the tight turnaround a news piece like this demands.
