Food Waste
In 2022, an average of 65.5kg of food per household was thrown away in Spain. Through illustrated and animated graphics, we show the details of this study to raise public awareness.
65.5 kg of food thrown away per household every year in Spain: that was the starting point for this piece. RTVE wanted the figure -- abstract on its own -- to feel real through illustrated, animated graphics breaking down which foods are wasted the most.
Showing the details of the study with the aim of raising public awareness, combining graphics and illustration so a sustainability figure would feel close to home.
I designed the visual narrative and illustrations for the study, aiming for a didactic, approachable tone -- the goal wasn't just to inform, but to invite a change in habit.
