The Campanar building fire spread so fast and uncontrollably that the speed itself became the story. RTVE needed a breaking-news graphic showing, almost in real time, how wind and construction materials fed the flames.
Showing the fast, uncontrollable spread of the fire, pinpointing wind and construction materials as the causes behind such rapid propagation.
I worked under the time pressure typical of breaking news, building the graphic as new information about the spread came in, without sacrificing the clarity of the technical explanation.
