Sagrada Familia: 100 years after Gaudí
Through three chapters -Nacimiento, Pasión and Gloria-, this interactive special explores the history and secrets of the Sagrada Familia on the 100th anniversary of Gaudí's death, with video, infographics, illustration and games, in Spanish, Catalan and English.
The Sagrada Familia couldn't fit in a single story.
To mark the centenary of Gaudí's death, we published a three-chapter multimedia special —Nacimiento, Pasión and Gloria— covering the history and secrets of the Sagrada Familia through text, images, infographics, interactives and video, adapted into three languages: Spanish, Catalan and English. It was a joint effort by RTVE's Infographics, LAB, Data, Video, Production, accessibility, SEO and translation teams.
The first chapter, Nativity, is built around an interactive piece that explores the Nativity façade in detail and explains how the vaults and columns Gaudí devised form, by design, a real structural forest inside the building.
Throughout the piece, an interactive game developed by RTVE's LAB invites readers to explore Gaudí's work in more depth, alongside further details such as the parts of the apse or the features that define a Gaudí-style structure.
